Originally serving as Chena-Goldstream’s first out apparatus for many years Engine 42 served its final years in the Rosie Creek area. It’s primary function was for structural firefighting but it also carried extrication equipment, brush fire equipment and medical supplies. It was retired in 2020 and returned to the Fairbanks-North-star Borough after 27 years of faithful service to its community.
